Amnesiac album cover Amnesiac was released on the fourth of June, 2001, to great anticipation. Produced by in-house producer Nigel Godrich and Radiohead themselves, the album debuted at first and second place on British and American charts respectively. Though regarded by some as the furthest departure from the band's alternative rock roots as of yet, a more conventional band line-up as well as guitars in gerenal are more prominent on this album, in comparison to preceding album Kid A, whose songs were recorded during the same period. The album earned Radiohead a 2002 Grammy award for its special edition artwork, along with a 2001 Mercury Music Prize nomination, and remains among the all-time favourite albums of yours truly.
